My experience is focused on work with young adults(18+), adults, and couples, primarily utilizing an Eclectic approach that may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Gestalt and Logo theories and modalities with a focus in Mindfulness Practice. Treatment interventions may include meditation, art therapy, drama therapy and psychoeducational tools of 12-step programs to assist clients with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, parenting, relationship stress and addiction and recovery. I am sensitive and allied with the LGBTQ+ community and other marginalized populations that would benefit from individual therapy.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is a form of psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. It is an empirically-based psychological intervention that uses acceptance and mindfulness strategies mixed in different ways with commitment and behavior-change strategies, to increase psychological flexibility.
